James M. Lionas

Jim has been a trusted leader in executive search for over 30 years, assisting companies with their hiring challenges and creating leadership capital. He co-founded The Hunter Group LLC as a retained executive search firm in 1995.

Prior to starting The Hunter Group, Jim was the Director of Executive Search for Plante & Moran, LLC a regional accounting and management consulting firm. He began his career in the banking industry with Chase Bank (formerly National Bank of Detroit) in their Trust Division. Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from Lawrence Technological University.

Jim focuses on executive level searches for positions such as President and Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and other senior level executive management positions across a variety of functional disciplines.

Jim is active in community activities and is a long-term organizer of the National Day of Prayer event for the Rochester (Michigan) Regional Chamber of Commerce. It is one of the largest gatherings of its kind in the country and attracts nearly 1,000 business and community leaders. Jim also serves on the Board of Directors of the FCA of Michigan.
