The Search Process
The Hunter Group LLC views each executive search as a component of our clients’ strategic plan because it is ultimately how well the candidate integrates into an organization’s culture that determines the success level of a search and contributes to the overall corporate directive. Our search approach is a multi-pronged process that incorporates the following:

Initial Client Discussion:
Working in partnership with our client, we discuss the industry, organizational relationships, marketing strategies and pertinent information regarding the scope of the position. We also compile the requirements of potential candidates and other characteristics necessary for the success of the search.

Search Profile:
After carefully assessing client needs, we prepare a written profile outlining the nature of the position and the ideal candidate. Once approved by the client, the specifications in the Search Profile guide our search direction.

Research:
Our professional research team is adept at assessing and filtering through various channels of information to identify key prospects. Aided by a database of broad business contacts, industry leaders, corporations, and professional associations, our research team compiles an extensive list of prospective candidates.

Prospective Candidate Identification:
Our professional consultants place selective calls to sources and contacts as provided by our research to identify and attract individuals who meet the criteria in the Search Profile.

Candidate Interviews and Evaluation:
Potential candidates are evaluated both on experience and organizational culture fit. We also explore candidates’ career goals, compensation requirements and interest in the opportunity presented.

Presentation of Final Candidates:
Confidential summaries and credentials are presented for qualified candidates who most closely meet the Search Profile.

Candidate/Client Interviews:
Meetings between the client and the candidates are coordinated by The Hunter Group. After each interview, we compile feedback which is pertinent to the successful conclusion of the search

Reference Checking of Successful Candidate:
Upon the selection of the candidate, but prior to an offer of employment, in-depth information is obtained from individuals capable of providing insights regarding the candidate.

Completion of the Search:
We assist our client with structuring the compensation package and other components of the employment offer, extending or facilitating the offer, and working with the candidate to resolve any transition-related issue or concerns. Once the successful candidate is hired, we follow up with both the candidate and our client periodically to ensure the candidate's successful integration into the client’s team.
